Please read the dog's entire bio before you apply. Sadly, we are no longer able to respond to every application, but if your application appears to be a good match for the dog we will reach out within 3 days. Popcorn is the cutest little girl, she was born 8/14/22 and is just 26 lbs at 8 months so she will likely mature at around 30-32 lbs. She loves everyone she meets and is all positive energy and love. She is a social butterfly who loves kisses, walks, playtime and attention. Popcorn likes dogs and cats and is food motivated as well. She would be a great family dog or a hiking buddy in a small package. Popcorn is good on the leash and we are told she is potty trained. She loves kisses and being really close to her person. As far as her breed, totally a guess, she looks like a tiny shepherd, but has a very soft coat and ears like a sheltie and a tail like a shiba. Most of our dogs are not available to an out of the area adoption because of difficulty to follow up. If you do not live within a 2 hr drive of Orange County, please email us before applying to see if the dog you are interested is may be a candidate for long distance adoption. Please read the dog's entire bio before you apply. This pet is a courtesy listing through our rescue and not in our care so we do not have any further information. If you would like to learn more about him or to meet him please email his foster home at n.niosco@gmail.com. Skye is a 1-year old, 40-lb Siberian Husky. She was found wandering the streets and while many attempts were made to find her original owners, they were not succesful. Now she is looking for a new home as her finders are unable to keep her. Skye is SMART, ENERGETIC, and PLAYFUL. She gets along with dogs who are similar in size and loves to initiate play. She stayed briefly with a who had a small dog and cats and she was doing well but intros with smaller animals should be gradual. She sleeps in a crate at night and is being taught to stay in the crate for short periods during the day. She is QUICKLY learning basic commands like sit, down, and come. She is VERY treat motivated. She is even more motivated by being outside and will sometimes pull hard on her leash during walks. She gets very excited by other dogs and will need some training to channel that excitement. Skye would do best in a medium to high energy home, preferably somewhere with a yard or access to a large plot of grass. If you have another dog that also loves to play, even better! She would make a great hiking/running companion with all of her Husky energy. She is now spayed. Listed for adoption 3/22/23 Adoption Fee: $150 Please contract her foster if you are intersted in meeting her, please do not fill out our rescue application. View full description »

Boba is a male 1 yr old mix, he looks like a golden on short legs, maybe golden/corgi or doxie? He is very sweet and playful and lots of fun. Elvie is a female chihuahua/doxie mix born around 9/26/22. She is a tiny little girl at just over 6.5 lbs at 5 months. Elvie is a bit shy as her previous owners literally tossed her out on the street. Thankfully someone saw this and took this baby home. She is very sweet, loves to snuggle and really wants to trust. She will be an amazing dog for a lucky home. She likes other dogs and playing with toys and has the cutest pink nose and little ears. We believe she will mature at 8-12 lbs. Please read the dog's entire bio before you apply. Sadly, we are no longer able to respond to every application, but if your application appears to be a good match for the dog we will reach out within 3 days. Naruto is a male terrier mix of some sort, just about 16 lbs now and should mature at 18-20 lbs. He was born 7/2/22. Naruto had a family who loved him and he is used to kids and other dogs, sadly due to landlord issues they could not keep him. He was clearly used to lots of attention and gets anxious when he is alone. He is active , fun and with more training will become the perfect boy, he is already picking up some commands such as sit/down and doing well on potty training). He is a little shy at first meet, but does warm up quickly once he knows you. He is very pretty with soft flowing hair and that perfect terrier face. Naruto is GREAT with other dog so a doggy playmate would be best. Most of our dogs are not available to an out of the area adoption because of difficulty to follow up. If you do not live within a 2 hr drive of Orange County, please email us before applying to see if the dog you are interested is may be a candidate for long distance adoption. We only make consider long distance adoptions for dogs who have been in our rescue for 6 plus months with no local candidates. • Domestic Short Hair
  • Spayed/Neutered

Please read the cat's entire bio before you apply. This pet is a courtesy listing through our rescue and not in our care so we do not have any further information. If you would like to learn more about him or to meet him please email manzanita2672@gmail.com. Gatito is gray and white male kitten born around 2/28/2022. He lived as an outside kitty until he was rescued with an abcess (which has since healed). He was neutered and tested and sadly Gatito has feline leukemia which means he cannot be an outside kitty. We are looking to place him in an indoor home, maybe with another Feline leukemia cat. Gatito has adapted well to his new indoor environment. He is a friendly, playful kitten, and he loves to lay on his back for belly scratches. He is a talkative cat that communicates his needs graciously. Gatito is a joyful kitten, grateful for the attention, affection, and meals he receives. Gatito has a voracious appetite and will never turn away a savory meal. Please read the dog's entire bio before you apply. Sadly, we are no longer able to respond to every application, but if your application appears to be a good match for the dog we will reach out within 3 days. Brian is a 1.5 yr old chihuahua mix, he is built almost like a grayhound with very long legs and tail but a round little face. Brian was not well cared for in his previous home, he came to us very thin and scared, it will take a bit to get him to a normal weight but he is slowly getting there. He is 8.5 lbs now but should fill our closer to 9 lbs. Brian is shy at first, warms up quickly and becomes very loyal to his person. He likes other small dogs as long as they are not too "in his face" and allow him to warm up at his own pace. He is respectful of cats and older children. Brian is pretty good in the leash and loves sleeping under the covers. He will need a little more help with housetraining, but is smart boy who already learned how to sit. Most of our dogs are not available to an out of the area adoption because of difficulty to follow up. Please read the dog's entire bio before you apply. This dog is not with our rescue but is a courtesy listing for her current owner. If you would like to meet her please reach out to her directly at pretzelbunnie@gmail.com. This beauty is looking for a new home! Mabel's owners are devastated to have to rehome her, but Mabel is showing risky signs with their 10 month old baby. They have been working with a trainer but feel it is safest to rehome her to a home with no small children. She is not a bad dog, just needs a specific type of home. Mabel is a working line German Shepherd and needs and active, experienced Shepherd home who will work her and give her the exercise and structure she needs to live a happy life. Mabel is 3 years old, weighs 70#, is spayed, vaccinated and house trained. She is good with other dogs but prefers people. No cats as she has a high prey drive (she did live with our cat who did not run and they got on well.) She is cuddly (think 70# lap dog!), sweet, playful, energetic and very smart! She walks great on a leash and gets so excited when you get the leash out and will vocalize to let you know she is happy! She travels well and is good on the patio at restaurants. Like most German Shepherds, Mabel does have allergies that are controlled with Apoquel and/or Cytopoint. If you are interested in adopting or meeting her please email his current owner at pretzelbunnie@gmail.com This pet is altered, vaccinated. Listed for adoption: 12/13/22 Adoption fee: $300 PLEASE DO NOT call to see if a pet is available as she is not in our care. View full description »

He purrs non-stop and is super affectionate/loving. He likes other kitties too. Defazio does have feline herpes and will likely have nasal discharge and other symptoms at times, more so when stressed. Feline herpes is not contagious to dogs/people. Mohave is a male black kitty born around 9/9/21. He was handraised in a foster home so he is very social and comfortable around all people. He has a black coat with beautiful eyes. He was the smallest kitten in the litter and seems to be staying petite. Mohave is very affectionate, purrs non-stop and knows how to fetch. He is an extraordinarily nice kitten. Mohave has had nasal issues since he was a baby and has been diagnosed with feline herpes. Similar to human herpes it is only contagious during a flare up and feline herpes is not contagious to humans or any other types of animals. It doesnt seem to bother him much and he should live a normal life, maybe with an occasional flare up. Please visit https://form.jotform.com/211220654525042 for our kitten/cat application. Please read the dog's entire bio before you apply. Sadly, we are no longer able to respond to every application, but will contact the one that is a good match within 3 days. Brewster is a male 2 yr old, 20 lb pug mix.... either puggle (pug /beagle) or chug (pug/chihuahua). Brewster is a timid boy, he gets scared easily of new places and new people but in a home he is a very sweet boy. He does better on anti anxiety medications as he gets overly stimulated and reactive. He will need a dog savy home willing to take their time with him, slow but constant socialization, training, patience. He is very clingy once he decides to trust you (and it doesnt take long at all). A nice calm/social dog may help him by showing him appropriate behavior. Because he is so fearful a home without children is best as visiting friends may be too much for now. He is pretty good on the leash, loves to walk or run in quiet places and very cute. He enjoys getting in the car for rides too. Brewster loves the company of other dogs and gets along with them so well. Most of our dogs are not available to an out of the area adoption because of difficulty to follow up. If you do not live within a 2 hr drive of Orange County, please email us before applying to see if the dog you are interested is may be a candidate for long distance adoption.
