Please read the dog's entire bio before you apply. Sadly, we are no longer able to respond to every application, but will contact the one that is a good match within 5 days. Jolie is a female 7 yr old yorkie, a sweet, cute little girl. Jolie is pretty chubby, she is currently around 11.5 lbs but really should be in the 8-9 lb range. Jolie loves to be around her people, she is a little shadow who wants to be the center of someone's world. While she is fine with other dogs, she doesnt necessily need them or love them, she is definitely a "people person". Because Jolie is so chubby, she does not really enjoy walks, a short waddle and thats all for her, she also does not do stairs (at all), so a home where she wouldnt have to go up many stairs would be best. She is pretty quiet, good in the carrier, and uses potty pads for the most part. She is startled by small children, so would do best in an adult home. Most of our dogs are not available to an out of the area adoption because of difficulty to follow up. If you do not live within a 2 hr drive of Orange County, please email us before applying to see if the dog you are interested is may be a candidate for long distance adoption. We only make consider long distance adoptions for dogs who have been in our rescue for 6 plus months with no local candidates. Bella is a female 4 yr old purebred Rottweiler, a beautiful stocky girl with a long tail. She is amazing. On top of her great looks, Bella is also very sweet, calm, loving and snuggle. She likes children and would make someone the best family pet. She is around 76 lbs. Please read the dog's entire bio before you apply. Sadly, we are no longer able to respond to every application, but will contact the one that is the best match within 5 days. This pup will be available to go home between 7/21 and 7/25. Kelsea Ballerini is a female pup born to Kiara on 5/24/2021. Her mom is a 15-17 lb pomeranian/sheltie type girl and father is unknown. We estimate she will mature at the 10-15 lb range. We did do a DNA test on one pup in this litter, she came back as 33 % chihuahua, 15 % poodle, 15% husky, 11 % cocker, 10% min pin, 8% cattle dog and 5 % shihtzu, a real all american mutt... while littermates dont share 100% of DNA, this pup is probably something similar. She is black/tan with cute marking and big ears that are finally standing up straight on their own like her mom's. Please read the dog's entire bio before you apply. Sadly, we are no longer able to respond to every application, but will contact the one that is a good match within 3 days. Pennie is a female 1 yr old terrier mix, a 19 lb little girl full of joy and curiousity about life. She is very sweet and social and wants to make friends with everyone she meeds, sadly her last 2 homes were not really supposed to have a dog so she spent much time in a crate/garage and wants to make up for lost time. She is very active and busy, so an active owner would be best, someone who is into training and maybe another dog to show her the way. She is tons of fun. She is not a non-shedding dog. Most of our dogs are not available to an out of the area adoption because of difficulty to follow up. Please read the dog's entire bio before you apply. Sadly, we are no longer able to respond to every application, but will contact the one that is a good match within 3 days. Lychee is a female 9-10 yr old apple headed chihuahua with the cutest little face. She came to us from the county shelter and has not had great care most of her life. She had to have multiple mammary masses removed (benign) as well as having all of her teeth pulled due to a raging infection. She is sweet, easy, cute and we would love to find her a retirement home. Lychee is 7-8 lbs and has a great face. She loves attention and following her person around the house. Other dogs are ok too as long as they are not too persistent in bugging her. Petra is a female terrier mix, scruffy, wiry and on short legs. She is 22-23 lbs, 2-3 years old and full of life and enthusiasm. She loves attention and will follow you around the house wherever you go. She loves to play in the water and take long naps. Petra is good with the other big dogs in the house and kids. Nobody is a stranger to Petra as she is friendly with everyone she meets. Petra is a runner, she’s a track star so she needs a very secure backyard so she can’t get out. Petra is mostly house broken but will need some extra attention when transitioning to her new home. She has a perpetual smile on her face and is really such a joyful pup. She will need an active home, she loves water playtime and the beach. This dog is not available to an out of the area adoption because of difficulty to follow up. Kadabra is a female 2-3 yr old yorkie mix, she has very expressive eyes and a sweet personality. Kadabra has not had a great home so she is shy, a bit insecure and will need some time/patience to make her feel comfortable. She is 12 lbs. Kabra is very submissive with new people and does a lots a lot of submissive army-crawling. She likes to snuggle once she warms up to people. She is good with other dogs and a home with another confident small dog would be good with her to show her the ropes. She is pretty quiet so far, very small whimpers and even that rarely. A quieter home would be best for her as she gets used to being a housepet. Most of our dogs are not available to an out of the area adoption because of difficulty to follow up. Please read the dog's entire bio before you apply. Sadly, we are no longer able to respond to every application, but will contact the one that is a good match within 3 days. Cocoa is around 10 yrs old and just under 6 lbs, we believe she is a chihuahua/yorkie but may have some other terrier in there as well. She is tiny and precious and would be a great purse pup. Cocoa was left by her owner at the county shelter, sadly this pup has likely not had great care for a bit. Her skin and coat is pretty bad and sadly after her dental she has only one tooth left. Cocoa (renamed by foster ‘Coco Chanel’) is the sweetest senior ever. She gets along great with the 3 other small dogs in the house as well as the cats! Her tail is always wagging. She loves to be picked up and carried. She gives lots of kisses. She feels SO much better with the rotting teeth gone and has transitioned transitioned well from all wet food to softened kibble with a little wet food mixed in and is on a weight gain journey. She sleeps through the night without a peep in her crate. She knows her way up to a bed. She is comfortable going up and down soft steps to a lower bed. Her mommy foster has a high bed with steps that are too scary for her to navigate so she stays in the crate for her safety and she’s just fine with it. She loves her cozy crate! We are working on learning her house training situation. She knows to do her business outside but has had some accidents in the house. The number of accidents is decreasing almost daily, so we are confident progress will be made in that regard. We started crate training her - during the day if no one is home, we’ll put her in her crate for short periods. She has never had an accident in her crate and can hold it overnight for 10 hours! A bonus: she rarely barks but when she does it sounds like singing! She also likes beds and pillows, so she will be as spoiled as you would like. She does seem to have some hearing loss too.... but that comes with age. Most of our dogs are not available to an out of the area adoption because of difficulty to follow up. If you do not live within a 2 hr drive of Orange County, please email us before applying to see if the dog you are interested is may be a candidate for long distance adoption. Daisy Mae is a female chihuahua mix born sometime in March of 2021. She is small and cute and likes being held. We estimate that she will mature at the 7-9 lb range but of course no promises. Daisy was originally a stray and has not had an easy start in life, but she is sure to be a great little family pet. Daisy is looking for a bestie to spend her days following around and snuggling. She loves to play with all kinds of toys and loves the sunshine. While she currenly lives in a home with a cat and a dog, she is super bossy with both and would love to be the only pet. When its time for cuddles she looks for her person to crawl up in their arms and take a nap. She is shy at first around new people but warms up once she know she can trust you. She is quiet, playful, hilarious, sweet baby ready for her forever family. Because of her size she is too small for toddlers or large dogs. Most of our dogs are not available to an out of the area adoption because of difficulty to follow up. Please read the dog's entire bio before you apply. Sadly, we are no longer able to respond to every application, but will contact the one that is a good match within 3 days. Lucy is a 4yr old, 6lb dear headed chihuahua, a precious golden colored girl with very expressive eyes and a “ go go go" personality. Lucy loves to be part of everything from following you around the house to going outside the backyard, anything happening with her human Lucy wants to be part of it. She is sweet, house trained, loves to play with nonaggressive dogs, loves to sit on laps and will happily hang out in a dog purse. She does get tired quickly but really loves to be a part of the action. Lucy was born with deformed back legs, her knee caps simply don't function so she carries her legs similar to a frog. Dogs are amazing and Lucy is the most amazing of all, she doesn't know she is different and is happy getting around in “her way". Lucy has had several x-rays and surgical consults. Sadly, she is not a candidate for surgery. Her case is so complicated the surgeon could not give any guarantee her movement after surgery would be any better than her movement before surgery. Putting Lucy through such a long and painful procedure with so many unknowns didn't seem fair. Lucy will never be able to walk normally. Lucy is not in pain, she is the sweetest most loving girl, we accept Lucy "the way she is”, and we hope to find her a home that will love Lucy the way she is as well. This pet is altered, vaccinated, microchipped, and has had a brief temperament evaluation to help us determine what type of a home he/she would thrive in. Please read the dog's entire bio before you apply. Sadly, we are no longer able to respond to every application, but will contact the one that is a good match within 3 days. Teller is a male pup born 4/6/21. We were told he is a poodle/chihuahua mix, but he sure looks more like a terrier so its a guess. Regardless, he should not go to a home with dog allergies as he will shed. We are estimating he will mature at 8-10 lbs, he is very petite. He is sweet and precious and has a nice playful personality. He ia a light eater, loves to please and cuddle and is now doing great on potty training but of course as with all puppies consistency is the key. Puppies this small do best with children over 6 as he is pretty fragile at this point and ideally someone should be home much of the time to train him. This puppy is not available to an out of the area adoption because of difficulty to follow up. If you do not live within a 2 hr drive of Orange County, please do not apply. • Terrier, Jack Russell Terrier, Mixed
  • Spayed/Neutered
  • Up-to-date with routine shots
  • Special Needs

Please read the dog's entire bio before you apply. Sadly, we are no longer able to respond to every application, but will contact the one that is a good match within 3 days. Bali is a female 2 1/2 yr old terrier mix, maybe jack russell mix. She is 10-11 lbs and so sweet. Bali was hit by a car and had to have her rear leg amputated but she is a silly sweet girl and does not know what she is missing as dogs are amazing and live in the moment. Bali will make someone a great pet, just maybe at a slightly slower pace then a 4 legged dog. That underbite is too cute! She is good with other dogs, great on the leash and is a mild-manners little shadow, so sweet. She appears to be housetrained and is a little shadow around the house, following her foster parents everywhere. If you are interested in adopting one of our rescues, please visit our main website for adoption procedures at www.pupsandpals.net and then fill out our application. Please note that we are all volunteers so it may take up to 3 days to process your application, but you will hear back from us if your application is a good match for the pet. We do not have a shelter so individual appointments must be made to meet the pet you are interested in. Our pets are fostered/boarded all over LA and Orange County. This pet is altered, vaccinated, microchipped, and has had a brief temperament evaluation to help us determine what type of a home he/she would thrive in. Please note that we put lots of time and effort to make sure our pets are ready to be someone's perfect pet before they go home.... and to make sure that we will have the best possible match for this pet we do require an : application, interview, adoption fee and in some case a home check. Please read the dog's entire bio before you apply. Sadly, we are no longer able to respond to every application, but will contact the one that is a good match within 3 days. Cisco was abandoned left overnight tied to a fence by a vet's office, he was a mess and clearly has not had good care for a long time. He came to us with ear infections, skin infections, eye infections and a minor heart murmur. He has done great with all of his treatments, his skin is starting to look good, his eye are clear (although he does have dry eye and will need eye drops for the rest of his life), he has been neutered and had a dental cleaning with 7 teeth pulled. He is a trooper. While Cisco does run into things, he is not bothered by it at all, he havigates small steps, doors, finds food/water and wants to explore. He is about 15 lbs and we guess 10-12 years old. He is social and loving and wags his little tail all the time. Most of our dogs are not available to an out of the area adoption because of difficulty to follow up.
