  • Spayed/Neutered
  • Up-to-date with routine shots

Please read the dog's entire bio before you apply. Sadly, we are no longer able to respond to every application, but will contact the one that is a good match within 3 days. Nellie is a female 1 yr old brown standard poodle, 52 lbs of bounce and fun and tons of love. Nellie is very affectionate and sweet and enthusiastic about every moment of the day. When you think of a dignified/aloof poodle, she is the complete opposite. She makes friends easily and likes to get wet and dirty. She would love a very active owner who will make her a part of every adventure. She loves fetch and playing with toys, running and having a good time. She knows basic commands but will need a refresher as she is easily distracted and she does pull on the leash so a strong owner is a must. While she loves children, she is boisterous, so either older children or those that are super dog savy and not scared at all. While Nellie likes other dogs, she is very submissive with large dogs and being submissive makes her do some submissive peeing... so it would be best if she goes to a home with a dog that is not too dominant and an owner willing to work with submissive peing and confidence building. We will be selective in finding her forever home as she is very special, so please dont get offended if your application is not selected for her. This dog is not available to an out of the area adoption because of difficulty to follow up. If you do not live within a 2 hr drive of Orange County, please do not apply. If you are interested in adopting one of our rescues, please visit our main website for adoption procedures at www.pupsandpals.net and then fill out our application. Please note that we are all volunteers so it may take up to 3 days to process your application, but you will hear back from us if your application is a good match for the pet. We do not have a shelter so individual appointments must be made to meet the pet you are interested in. Our pets are fostered/boarded all over LA and Orange County. Before adoption she will be altered, vaccinated, microchipped, and has had a brief temperament evaluation to help us determine what type of a home he/she would thrive in. Please note that we put lots of time and effort to make sure our pets are ready to be someone's perfect pet before they go home.... and to make sure that we will have the best possible match for this pet we do require an : application, interview, adoption fee and in some case a home check. Listed for adoption: 6/17/21 PLEASE DO NOT call or email to see if a pet is available. We update our pages daily so if he/she is pictured here in the available dogs section, we are accepting applications at this time. View full description »

Please read the dog's entire bio before you apply. Sadly, we are no longer able to respond to every application, but will contact the one that is a good match within 3 days. Cocoa is around 10 yrs old and just under 6 lbs, we believe she is a chihuahua/yorkie but may have some other terrier in there as well. She is tiny and precious and would be a great purse pup. Cocoa was left by her owner at the county shelter, sadly this pup has likely not had great care for a bit. Her skin and coat is pretty bad and once she has a dental cleaning we feel she may lose the few teeth that she has left. Thankfully dogs dont care if they dont have teeth, they do just as well without them πŸ™‚ Most of our dogs are not available to an out of the area adoption because of difficulty to follow up. If you do not live within a 2 hr drive of Orange County, please email us before applying to see if the dog you are interested is may be a candidate for long distance adoption. Please read the dog's entire bio before you apply. Sadly, we are no longer able to respond to every application, but will contact the one that is a good match within 3 days. Daisy Mae is a female chihuahua mix born sometime in March of 2021. She is small and cute and likes being held. We estimate that she will mature at the 7-9 lb range but of course no promises. Daisy was originally a stray and has not had an easy start in life, but she is sure to be a great little family pet. Because of her size she is too small for tiny children or large dogs. Funny enough she is actually bossy with other dogs πŸ™‚ Most of our dogs are not available to an out of the area adoption because of difficulty to follow up. • Spayed/Neutered
  • Up-to-date with routine shots

Please read the dog's entire bio before you apply. Sadly, we are no longer able to respond to every application, but will contact the one that is a good match within 3 days. Lucy is a 4yr old, 6lb dear headed chihuahua, a precious golden colored girl with very expressive eyes and a β€œ go go go" personality. Lucy loves to be part of everything from following you around the house to going outside the backyard, anything happening with her human Lucy wants to be part of it. She is sweet, house trained, loves to play with nonaggressive dogs, loves to sit on laps and will happily hang out in a dog purse. She does get tired quickly but really loves to be a part of the action. Lucy was born with deformed back legs, her knee caps simply don't function so she carries her legs similar to a frog. Dogs are amazing and Lucy is the most amazing of all, she doesn't know she is different and is happy getting around in β€œher way". Lucy has had several x-rays and surgical consults. Sadly, she is not a candidate for surgery. Her case is so complicated the surgeon could not give any guarantee her movement after surgery would be any better than her movement before surgery. Putting Lucy through such a long and painful procedure with so many unknowns didn't seem fair. Lucy will never be able to walk normally. Lucy is not in pain, she is the sweetest most loving girl, we accept Lucy "the way she is”, and we hope to find her a home that will love Lucy the way she is as well. This pet is altered, vaccinated, microchipped, and has had a brief temperament evaluation to help us determine what type of a home he/she would thrive in. Please note that we put lots of time and effort to make sure our pets are ready to be someone's perfect pet before they go home.... and to make sure that we will have the best possible match for this pet we do require an : application, interview, adoption fee and in some case a home check. Please read the dog's entire bio before you apply. Sadly, we are no longer able to respond to every application, but will contact the one that is a good match within 3 days. Teller is a male pup born 4/6/21. We were told he is a poodle/chihuahua mix, but he sure looks more like a terrier so its a guess. Regardless, he should not go to a home with dog allergies as he will shed. We are estimating he will mature at 8-10 lbs, he is very petite. He is sweet and precious and has a nice playful personality. He ia a light eater, loves to please and cuddle and can use some help with distractions and potty training. Puppies this small do best with children over 6 as he is pretty fragile at this point and ideally someone should be home much of the time to train him. This puppy is not available to an out of the area adoption because of difficulty to follow up. If you do not live within a 2 hr drive of Orange County, please do not apply. Please read the dog's entire bio before you apply. Sadly, we are no longer able to respond to every application, but will contact the one that is a good match within 3 days. Bali is a female 2 1/2 yr old terrier mix, maybe jack russell mix. She is 10-11 lbs and so sweet. Bali was hit by a car and had to have her rear leg amputated but she is a silly sweet girl and does not know what she is missing as dogs are amazing and live in the moment. Bali will make someone a great pet, just maybe at a slightly slower pace then a 4 legged dog. That underbite is too cute! She is good with other dogs, great on the leash and is a mild-manners little shadow, so sweet. She appears to be housetrained and is a little shadow around the house, following her foster parents everywhere. Please read the dog's entire bio before you apply. Sadly, we are no longer able to respond to every application, but will contact the one that is a good match within 3 days. Leo is a male yellow lab born around 1/28/2021. He is a handsome and sweet little man who as all labs loves affection, food, toys... in any order and all at the same time. Leo was originally surrendered to our rescue very sick, he had limited use of his rear legs, weakness and inability to walk and his previous owners were not prepared to deal with such a sick baby as he was declining rapidly. After much testing we did not really find a definitive reason for his sickness, he labwork was good and radiographs did not provide a clear answer. Thankfully he responded well to the vet's treatment and has made great progress. He is now off all of his medications and not only does he walk, he runs, goes up the stairs and loves to play with his canine foster siblings. He is ready for his forever home. What we cannot promise is that he is 100% cured but we do know he is healthy now and we hope he contines to amaze us every day. He has the perfect lab personality, he knows to strangers, wants to please and will be a great family dog. Labs are puppies till 2-3 so he will need an experienced/dedicated owner with tons of time to train. A canine playmate would also be great or a child that can be his best bud. This pup is not available to an out of the area adoption because of difficulty to follow up. If you do not live within a 2 hr drive of Orange County, please do not apply. If you are interested in adopting one of our rescues, please visit our main website for adoption procedures at www.pupsandpals.net and then fill out our application. Please read the dog's entire bio before you apply. Sadly, we are no longer able to respond to every application, but will contact the one that is a good match within 3 days. Cisco was abandoned left overnight tied to a fence by a vet's office, he was a mess and clearly has not had good care for a long time. He came to us with ear infections, skin infections, eye infections and a minor heart murmur. He has done great with all of his treatments, his skin is starting to look good, his eye are clear (although he does have dry eye and will need eye drops for the rest of his life), he has been neutered and had a dental cleaning with 7 teeth pulled. He is a trooper. While Cisco does run into things, he is not bothered by it at all, he havigates small steps, doors, finds food/water and wants to explore. He is about 15 lbs and we guess 10-12 years old. He is social and loving and wags his little tail all the time. Most of our dogs are not available to an out of the area adoption because of difficulty to follow up. Direct link to our application is https://form.jotform.com/211218565650150. Mr Bean is a male 6-7 yr old chihuahua, a middle aged ittle boy. He is loving, social and super cute but he does also have a mind of his own and likes to be the boss. He is a great little watch dog and will protect his home. Mr. Bean is just under 8 lbs. He loves strutting around like a much bigger dog. He is ok with non-bossy male dogs as he can be pretty bossy himself, female dogs would be best. He is food possessive, so no small children please. Mr Bean has a heart murmur, he is not on any medication and it does not bother him one bit, but its hard to predict what the future holds. He also has some disk issues on his back, since we dont know anything about his past we dont know when it happened but we do know that he is painful at times and to keep pain to a minimal we do have to keep him at a good weight (he cant get too heavy). Please note that we are all volunteers so it may take up to 3 days to process your application, but you will hear back from us if your application is a good match for the pet. We do not have a shelter so individual appointments must be made to meet the pet you are interested in. Our pets are fostered/boarded all over LA and Orange County. Listed for adoption: 1/1/2021 Adoption fee: $250 PLEASE DO NOT call or email to see if a pet is available. We update our pages daily so if he/she is pictured here in the available dogs section, we are accepting applications at this time. View full description »
