Please read the dog's entire bio before you apply. Sadly, we are no longer able to respond to every application, but if your application appears to be a good match for the dog we will reach out within 3 days. Barcode is an English bulldog pup (born 4/14/24). He was bred by an irresponsible breeder who dumped him as soon as they knew he could not be sold. He is deaf, has double cherry eyes and a heart murmur. We don't know what the future holds for him, but we do know that we have to try. He can't have his eye surgery until he sees a cardiologist and of course all of this will be so costly. At this time we are looking for a foster home, we are open to a foster to adopt situation for him as well. He is very special and absolutely the sweetest pup. If you are not sure if you are ready to commit to adoption or have any questions, please email us at pupsandpalsrescue@yahoo.com. Most of our dogs are not available to an out of the area adoption because of difficulty to follow up. If you do not live within a 2 hr drive of Orange County, please email us before applying to see if the dog you are interested in may be a candidate for long distance adoption. We may consider long distance adoptions for dogs who have been in our rescue for 6 + months with no local candidates. If you are interested in adopting one of our rescues, please visit our main website for adoption procedures at www.pupsandpals.net and then fill out our application. We do not have a shelter/kennel. Our pets are fostered/boarded all over LA and Orange County. This pet is vaccinated, microchipped, and dewormed. Please note that we put lots of time and effort to make sure our pets are ready to be someone's perfect pet before they go home.... and to make sure that we will have the best possible match for this pet we do require an : application, interview, adoption fee and in some cases a home check. Listed for adoption: 7/26/24 Adoption fee: $TBD foster to adopt preferred at this time. PLEASE DO NOT call or email to see if a pet is available. Please read the dog's entire bio before you apply. Sadly, we are no longer able to respond to every application, but if your application appears to be a good match for the dog we will reach out within 3 days. Skylar is a female bulldog born 5/4/24. Skylar was confiscated by animal control after a failed home c-section. Her mom and most of her litter passed away, She was one of the surviving pups and her brother has been adopted. She has been in a foster home since she was just a few days old and has required around the clock care. She is sweet, snuggly, social and loves everyone she meets. She was spayed and had a hernia repaired on 7/10... her hernia was a large one and when opened up the doctor did find some unusual anatomy on the inside (one kidney bigger then the other and a ureter attached in the wrong place). Surgery was a success and we ran bloodwork to make sure her kidneys are functioning ok and they are... but this is something her new owner should be aware of as it will likely not be insurable as a pre-existing condition. Not sure if this makes a difference in the long run but wanted to be transparent. We would like to place her in a home that is experienced with the breed. She is gorgeous, chocolate tri color with the best face and we believe she will stay on the smaller side for the breed. This dog is not available to an out of the area adoption because of difficulty to follow up. If you do not live within a 2 hr drive of Orange County, please do not apply. Bunny is a female 8-10 year old mini schnauzer. She was found as a stray in pretty bad shape and now has made a great recovery. Bunny is 12.5 lbs, has a short tail and the best ears ever. She had to have all of her teeth pulled, no worries she eats all foods and will never need to have another dental. She is social, sweet and loves attention. Bunny has a condition called dry eye (her eyes are not producing enough tears), this condition requires lifelong eye meds, but she is so worth the effort and is doing so well on meds. Please read the dog's entire bio before you apply. Sadly, we are no longer able to respond to every application, but if your application appears to be a good match for the dog we will reach out within 3 days. Tellie is a female 4.5-5 lb little terrier mix. We dont know much about her past but based on the shape what she was in when picked up by animal control, she did not have a great first home. Tellie is very sweet and social, she is tiny and loves being held and sitting on laps. She looks to be 7-8 years old. She had a dental and a few teeth pulled but if course that doesnt stop her. She is fun, loves every human including children and is bossy with other dogs who get in her face. Tellie is the perfect purse pup and is also good on the leash and in the car. Most of our dogs are not available to an out of the area adoption because of difficulty to follow up. Please read the dog's entire bio before you apply. Sadly, we are no longer able to respond to every application, but will contact the one that is a good match within 3 days. Brewster is a male 2 yr old, 20 lb pug mix.... either puggle (pug /beagle) or chug (pug/chihuahua). Brewster is a timid boy, he gets scared easily of new places and new people but in a home he is a very sweet boy. He does better on anti anxiety medications as he gets overly stimulated and reactive. He will need a dog savy home willing to take their time with him, slow but constant socialization, training, patience. He is very clingy once he decides to trust you (and it doesnt take long at all). A nice calm/social dog may help him by showing him appropriate behavior. Because he is so fearful a home without children is best as visiting friends may be too much for now. He is pretty good on the leash, loves to walk or run in quiet places and very cute. He enjoys getting in the car for rides too. Brewster loves the company of other dogs and gets along with them so well. Please read the dog's entire bio before you apply.
