Please read the dog's entire bio before you apply. Sadly, we are no longer able to respond to every application, but if your application appears to be a good match for the dog we will reach out within 3 days. Nanuk is a one year old Labrador Retriever (or a very close mix) with a gorgeous creamy coat and a heart full of love. He is the perfect mix of sweet, silly and playful - the kind of a dog who will make you laugh every day with his goofy personality and a big happy smile. He loves toys, treats and other dogs, in any order at all and with equal enthusiasm. This handsome boy had a rough start. He was found with another pup who was sadly very sick with parvo and was euthanized at intake in the county shelter. Nanuk was quarantined at the shelter and during his quarantine he caught kennel cough. Sadly sick pups do not have much of a chance at getting out of the shelter, so we took him in to give him a chance to heal and find his forever home. Now 3 weeks later, he is happy and healthy and ready to embrace all the good things life has to offer. This little boy is only 55 lbs so he is on the smaller, more manageable side. He will need a home ready to train and exercise as labs stay very puppy like till at least 2 years of age, but he is so sweet, submissive with other dogs and loves to play. Most of our dogs are not available to an out of the area adoption because of difficulty to follow up. If you do not live within a 2 hr drive of Orange County, please email us before applying to see if the dog you are interested in may be a candidate for long distance adoption. We may consider long distance adoptions for dogs who have been in our rescue for 6 + months with no local candidates. If you are interested in adopting one of our rescues, please visit our main website for adoption procedures at www.pupsandpals.net and then fill out our application. We do not have a shelter/kennel. Our pets are fostered/boarded all over LA and Orange County. This pet is altered, vaccinated, microchipped, and has had a brief temperament evaluation to help us determine what type of a home he/she would thrive in. Please note that we put lots of time and effort to make sure our pets are ready to be someone's perfect pet before they go home.... and to make sure that we will have the best possible match for this pet we do require an : application, interview, adoption fee and in some cases a home check. Listed for adoption: 10/20/25 Adoption fee: $400 PLEASE DO NOT call or email to see if a pet is available. We update our pages daily so if he/she is pictured here in the available dogs section, we are accepting applications at this time. View full description »

Barry is a male jack russel terrier/spaniel mix born 3/26/23. He is 14.5 lbs and has cute little freckles. Barry has had a couple of homes in his life, we are told he is pretty easy and independent, maybe because he has been moved around a bit and has not formed long term attachments. Barry is sweet and a bit scared but he so wants a forever family. He is ok with other dogs and has lived with kids. Please read the dog's entire bio before you apply. Please read the dog's entire bio before you apply. Sadly, we are no longer able to respond to every application, but if your application appears to be a good match for the dog we will reach out within 3 days. Kira is a female German Shepherd pup born 4/19/25, she is already 40 lbs at just over 5 months old so she is a big girl. Kira is social and fun and loves to play. He has lots of energery and would love a home that would like to do lots of training and exercise. She is a bit timid with new dogs, but thats ok, she is getting use to them. Kira loves treats, attention and love. She is probably too big for small children as she does not know her own size, so bigger kids would be best for this pup. She knows how to sit and is so ready to learn much more. Most of our dogs are not available to an out of the area adoption because of difficulty to follow up. Please read the dog's entire bio before you apply. Sadly, we are no longer able to respond to every application, but if your application appears to be a good match for the dog we will reach out within 3 days. Rootbeer is a male pug born 11/1/22. He is so sweet and he loves to play and run around but can also settle down nicely and snuggle. He is a people pleaser and will listen to some commands but is also completely food obsessed and will try to steal things. Rootbeer is 23 lbs, he walks pretty well on the leash and is used to being a loved family member, but because of allergies in the family, he had to find a new home. He adores kids and would love a family to love on. He is a bit reactive to other dogs on a leash but great with them in a play session. He would do well as an only dog too. Most of our dogs are not available to an out of the area adoption because of difficulty to follow up. Rex is a high energy boy, he really needs an owner who wants to engage with their dog in hiking, walks, adventures, playtime... all the fun things are a must for him. He loves car rides, wind in his face and cuddles and snuggles. He does not love being left alone but does deal especially with a doggy friend. Please read the dog's entire bio before you apply. Sadly, we are no longer able to respond to every application, but if your application appears to be a good match for the dog we will reach out within 3 days. Bayla is a female poodle mix born around 12/2016. Her foster parents did a DNA test on her and she is actually 33% poodle with some chihuahua, min pin, corgi and tibetan terrier. Bayla is a sweet active girl who acts much younger then 8, she is funny, likes attention and is very loving. Bayla is 13.5 lbs on long legs and has the best underbite. She gets along with other dogs and loves to have a person around to follow around, she is also great about going places. Bayle has some opinions about her likes and dislikes (she hates being groomed) so an experienced home with no small children would be best for her. She loves to play, loves toys and is lots of fun. She rolls over for belly rubs and is very sweet. We posted pics of her in different cuts because there are so many options 🙂 Most of our dogs are not available to an out of the area adoption because of difficulty to follow up.
